TOWN Docs

Everything the game holds — how to play, what to gather, craft and fight, and the live prices of every item. Your wallet is your identity; gameplay is off-chain and gasless.

Overview

TOWN is a 3D voxel, isometric multiplayer MMO that runs in your browser. Explore a shared world, harvest resources, craft and upgrade gear, fight in a dedicated arena, trade with other players and dress up your character.

  • Wallet identity. You sign in with your wallet (a signature — no transaction, no gas). It's just proof of who you are.
  • Off-chain gameplay. Everything you do plays instantly off-chain. Only currency & identity are designed to live on-chain (a future deposit bridge).
  • Server-authoritative. The server owns your inventory, coins, XP and the world, so progress is safe and consistent for everyone.
  • Desktop only for now.

Getting started

  1. Connect your wallet from the home screen.
  2. Sign in — sign a short message to prove ownership (free, no gas).
  3. Pick a username the first time — this is your name in the world.
  4. You spawn in the Overworld with an Axe. Go gather, craft and explore.

The world

The world is a set of connected areas you travel between through portals (doors, gates and glowing pads). Some areas have a level requirement.

Overworld

The town hub — statue plaza, winding paths and the doors to everywhere else.

Pine Forest

A peaceful wilderness of wood & stone, split by a river you cross on a bridge.

Stone Mine

A dark cave rich in stone.

Coal Mine

Level 3

An anthracite cave — mine glossy black coal.

Gold Mine

Level 3

A warm cavern of gold veins (a Steel Pickaxe is required to mine gold).

Gloomwood

Level 3

The cursed combat arena — enemies roam here, including a boss. No harvesting.

Seaside

A turquoise harbour — fish from a long wooden pier over the open sea.

Clothes Shop

Level 2

The Tailor's boutique — buy & wear cosmetics.

Casino

A neon salon — blackjack, roulette and slots.

Apartment

A hotel-style lobby entered from the Seaside.

House

Level 10

A private interior home.

Resources

Harvest trees (Axe), rocks (Pickaxe — gold needs a Steel Pickaxe) and fish (Rod). Each harvest grants the resource plus XP. Reference market values (a guide — players set real prices on the market):

ResourceSell (each)Buy (each)XP
Wood 1 2+4
Stone 2 4+5
Fish 3 6+6
Coal 5 10+8
Gold 20 40+14

Tools & crafting

You start with an Axe. Everything else is crafted at the Crafter NPC. Weapons & pickaxes upgrade through tiers — an upgrade burns the previous tier plus materials and $TOWN and grants a stronger, separate tool.

Combat — Gloomwood

Combat happens in Gloomwood (level 3+). It's skill-based: every enemy telegraphs its attack with a wind-up, and each kind strikes differently — so you dodge by moving, and a well-timed sword hit can interrupt a wind-up. Land crits for big damage.

Bandit

A baseline rogue — a single jab. Step out of range to dodge.

Marauder

A heavy brute with a wide frontal cleave — back out of the cone, don't circle.

Wraith

A fast, fragile spectre that lunges in on its strike — sidestep the dash.

Hexer

A robed caster that hurls hex-bolts from afar — keep moving out of their path.

Warden

A towering elite with a massive, brutal sweep — readable, but respect it.

Gloomwood Tyrant

The boss — huge HP, a ground SLAM and, when enraged, a fanned bolt-spread.

  • Health. Your HP is shown as a bar. It only drops in combat — there is no passive regen.
  • Health Potions (crafted from fish) restore HP — drink with Q. Keep a stock before a fight.
  • Rewards. Kills grant XP and drop resources — every enemy drops gold (bigger foes drop more), which funds your upgrades.
  • Death has stakes. Falling in Gloomwood burns your held weapon and casts you back to the Overworld at full HP — losing the blade is the setback.

Economy — $TOWN

$TOWN is the game's single currency, with a fixed supply of 1,000,000 — forever. It is designed to map onto an on-chain token (a future deposit/withdraw bridge).

  • No faucet. Gameplay does not print new $TOWN. Combat and daily rewards pay resources (gold & materials), not token.
  • How you earn it. By selling resources & items to other players on the market, and by winning in the casino.
  • Where it goes. Buying from the system shop and paying crafting/upgrade costs removes token from circulation.

Marketplace

Visit the Merchant to open the player-to-player market. Everything is priced in $TOWN and traded between players — sellers set the price.

  • Buy resources and items (clothing & tools) listed by other players.
  • Sell your own resources, spare tools and cosmetics — list them at your price.
  • Search and filter by category (Resources / Head / Body / Legs / Feet / Tools).

Wardrobe & cosmetics

Dress your character at the Tailor (Clothes Shop, level 2). Cosmetics have four slots — head, body, legs, feet — and are bought with $TOWN from the system shop (or from other players on the market). Everything stacks, so you can own duplicates. Prices below are live (loading…).

Casino

The neon Casino has two games of chance, both played in $TOWN. Walk up to a table and place your bet.

Blackjack

Beat the dealer to 21. Hit, Stand, Double, Split & Insurance. Blackjack pays 3:2.

Roulette

Bet a number, colour, dozen or split and spin the wheel.

Gamble responsibly — the house always keeps an edge.

Daily rewards

Log in each day for a 7-day streak of escalating resource rewards (common materials early, rarer ore later, a gold-and-coal haul on day 7). Miss a day and the streak resets. Daily rewards pay resources only — never $TOWN.

Progression

You earn XP from harvesting, fishing and combat. Levels gate some areas (Clothes Shop 2 · Coal/Gold Mine 3 · Gloomwood 3 · House 10). The first level takes 100 XP and each level after costs double the last (100 → 200 → 400 → 800 …), so every level is a real milestone.
